Chosen from select olive groves planted in the central occidental hills of Sicily's western provinces, Manfredi formulated this special oil under his 'Grand Reserve' label only for All Things Sicilian.
Monocultivar or blended, “Selezione Speciale” changes from one year to the next. Manfredi Barbera carefully selects from the single olive variety (100% Biancolilla). Barbera's goal is to always select only the best oils produced each year. The result is a fairly dense oil, golden in color with tones of jade, with a well rounded taste with almond finish. Its delicate flavor consents its use in the preparation and refinement of top dishes.
